I have never been so unprepared for Halloween as I was this year. But, amazingly all the boys ended up having a costume that they were happy with.Jacob was a Airforce Pilot

Joshua was a vampire
(This was our first experience with a "scary" costume. And I must say, I'm not sure if I liked having my little boy dressed up like a blood-sucking demon. But, he seemed to enjoy playing the part.)

And Aaron was the cutest little cowboy ever . . . . .
. . . . .that is except for the years that Jacob, Joshua, & Brigham were also cowboys.
They were pretty cute too:Jacob - 4 years old
Yes, Aaron was a cowboy and he is still talking about it. He has wonderful memories of dressing up like a "towboy" and getting "canney." Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Applegarth he did get candy he could actually eat. My parents made little baggies of his candy and then my dad walked just ahead of us at the trunk or treat asking people to give the specially prepared bag to the little cowboy.
While trick or treating, Aaron got so used to telling people he was a cowboy that for a week so after Halloween, every time an adult asked him a question like what his name was or how he was doing, he would answer: "I towboy."
These pictures make me laugh. I took them within a 3 or 4 minute time period:
