Today we went to Vala's Pumpkin Patch

Joshua's school field trip to Vala's was today. It was also Vala's designated homeshool day. So, we all got to go. I asked Joshua if he simply wanted to come with us. But, he really wanted to ride the bus (why do kids love the bus? - I guess I don't get it because I rode the bus to school everyday for my first 3 1/2 years of Elementary. I remember wishing I could walk to school). Anyway, so Joshua spent the first part of the day with his class. Then, when his class left, we happily "checked him out" and we got to be together the rest of the afternoon together.

I'm not sure why Brigham brought this little whistle with him (I think he got it at some cub scout pack meeting a couple of months ago). But, he was pretty excited to have it when we went on the train ride. He blew it every time the train blew its whiste. The poor lady in front of us. (Thankfully she didn't seem to mind.)

We all got a good workout on the family bikes/car. (Although Jacob said I wasn't peddling nearly as hard as he was.)

Aaron watching the bunnies in Bunnyville - We decieded we are going to build a house for our bunny, Smokey, this winter.

This slide has to be the best slide I've ever been on. Each of the boys went on it at least five times. Aaron included, which means I got to go on it with him - five times. I'm sure the people there thought I was a crazy pregnant lady. And I can see why they might have thought that. I had to dig my feet into the sides of the slide as we went down to keep from being launched out of at the bottom.

Brigham - on his way down

At the bottom

Aaron & Brigham picking their pumpkins

Jacob picking his (Joshua picked his earlier in the day with his class).

We also enjoyed the bounce pillows, the pig races, the pumpkin cannon, feeding the goat, and a "really scarey" haunted house. What more could you ask for? (Beside's "can we come again?" - which was Jacob's first question after we left. . . . Next year for sure.)
